In an Octopusses garden…
If far-out design is your thing then Maximo Riera’s sculptural Octopus chair has to be seen to be believed. The very first of his animal chairs series, the Octopus is sure to make an impression on you. Made from compressed foam with a metallic frame and leather upholstery this chair offers something a little out of the ordinary. Extremely lifelike and like nothing we’ve seen before.

ACDC Lighting at 100% Design

Light & Health: BIID seminar at 100% Design
Rebecca Weir, Design Director of Light IQ and Industry Partner of the British Institute of Interior Design presents Light and Health. Rebecca will be examining what light is and the role it plays (biologically, visually and emotionally) in our everyday lives. Using case studies and photographic imagery of interiors, this seminar will helps us to understand how both natural and artificially light can be balanced to optimise the effect of lighting on our environment and therefore our wellbeing.

The best in British design has been cherry-picked by la Rinascente for an exhibition in their Design Supermarket, Milan. 100% British Design was established as an initiative by UK Trade & Investment to promote British design exports around the globe, and for 3 weeks around the Salone, British design takes centre stage. 100% Design London co-sponsored this event as a large proportion of exhibits were selected at their show.
