From classics such as the 214 chair originally designed in 1859, to Mies van der Rohe’s S533 cantilever chair from 1927, and more recently Stefan Diez with his award winning 404 family of chairs – Thonet maintains its grand tradition of design excellence. It remains a family owned company which continues to manufacture from the original factory in Frankenberg.
