RIP Maestro Mendini

18th February 2019. Sad news - the great architect and designer Alessandro Mendini has died. Probably best remembered for his radical Proust chair - a combination of pointillist pattern and baroque form, he was responsible for so much more. Design theorist, Editor of Domus , co-founder of Domus Academy and architect of the Groninger Museum in addition to creating designs for Alessi and many other manufacturers. He was a man who had no fear of colour and pattern.
